How to make Beans a la catalana:
In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and brown the bacon cut into cubes for 3 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Once the bacon is browned, add the onion and minced garlic. Saute everything for 4-5 minutes.
Add the bay leaf and the mint branch. Mix and let it rest for 1 minute so that these flavors are integrated and you can continue with the recipe for Catalan beans.
